Bangalore Schools and Colleges were shut down due to the increasing number of COVID-19-related cases. The state government headed by CM Bommai has decided to close all educational institutions within Bangalore for two weeks, except for classes 10-12, Nursing, and Medical colleges. Here are the guidelines.

Bengaluru Schools and Colleges were shut down as Karnataka has seen an increase in cases of COVID-19 and the highest concentration of infections is within the metropolitan area. 

Following a COVID 19 review meeting held today on January 4 2022 Karnataka the CM, Basavaraj Bommai’s administration decided to enforce certain restrictions and close all schools, with a few exceptions. Schools, colleges are closed within the town for two weeks, with the exception of classes from 10-12 and paramedical, medical, and nursing colleges.

As part of the new curfews that were announced last week in the new curbs announced by Karnataka Minister R. Ashok (education department-secondary education minister), schools in the city will be closed starting January 6 for a period of two weeks. 

Students in the 12th and 10th will be able to continue or continue their classes. Along with schools, a weekend’s curfews have also been declared in the city, and theaters,residential schools, bars, and pubs are limited to 50 percent capacity. The guidelines on how schools will operate as well as the rules for online classes will be announced soon.
