• Nativity Certificate : கிராமப்புற மாணவர் , வேறு மாநில கல்லூரி களுக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கும் போது தேவைப்படும்
• Income Certificate : உங்கள் தந்தை மற்றும் தாய் வருமான சான்றிதழ் , கல்லூரி உதவித்தொகை பெற கண்டிப்பாக சமர்ப்பிக்க வேண்டும்

TNEA 2020 Step By Step Guide for ONLINE Counselling

Step- 1 Online Application

• Fill online application form from your home or get help from district centres provided in every district by TNEA 2020
• Pay non refundable application fees online
• no need to send the application to TNEA 2020

Step-2 Random Number

• TNEA gives you a random number if you are eligible for the tamilnadu engineering admission

step-3 Certificate verification

• You have to submit all your original certificates and marksheet to the counselling authorities for verification in person
• there is no need to go to chennai for certificate verification for normal students ,for sportsmen and other category students must go to chennai counselling centre for certificate verfication.

step-4 Rank List

• After certificate verification, TNEA release rank list for the applicants based on their CUTOFF marks
• Candidates call for counselling based on the rank list

Step-5 TNEA 1st Counselling

• 1st batch of candidates call for the first counselling after finishing the seat allotment process all other candidates call for the next counselling

Step-6 TNEA counselling fees

• Candidates who called for the tnea counselling have to pay counselling fee of Rs 5000/- (rs1000 for sc st and special category) to attend the counselling
• This amount is refundable if candidates did not take any allotment and quit
• If a candidate selects the tentative allotment and confirm the admission the counselling fees consider as the confirmation fee and send to the admitted college and added to the first-year fees
• Online fees can be pay through online mode and pay directly by the help of district help centres

Step-6 TNEA Choice List Filling

• Tnea allot seat in the basis of CHOICE LIST given by the candidates
• After pay, the counselling fees candidates have a chance to select the choice of college in a list
• Choice filling is based on the candidates will of selecting good college

Step-7 Lock Choice List

• After filling choice list for the online counselling candidates must lock the list and final submit
• There is no more edit in the choice list after filling the choice list

Step-8 Tentative Allotment

• Based on the choice list tnea allot a tentative seat for you
• Candidate have a choice to take the seat, or change to better college ,or quit and ask for refund

Step-9 Tnea Seat Confirmation

• Candidates must confirm the tentative allotment if they willing to take the allotted seat
• If the candidates not happy with the given allotment they have a chance to change
• they may confirm the seat and ask for the better colleges in the choice list and wait for if, in this case if any vacancy position arise in the choice you given in the list the tnea ask for you for whether you want to get the new vacancy seat of take the tentatively allotted one
• If there is no more vacancy arises in the choices then the tentatively allotted seat is the final one
• Candidates have a chance to not get the tentative allotment and go for the second counselling and select other colleges
• OR stop the counselling process the quit to refund the counselling fees

Creating Choice List for TNEA 2020

• Choice list is of colleges and courses prefered by the candidate
• Large list of colleges is needed to get a seat allotment in their current counselling batch
• Choice list is prepared by the basis of previous year CUT OFF marks and preferred colleges

Choice List Based on College Preference

• If a candidate willing to join a particular college and he not bother about the courses then this is the way to create choice list
• place all courses in that college are in the top level
• for example a student badly want to join Thiyagarajar College in Madurai and he want to join csc so the first choice is TC – CSC
• if the csc course is not available for this cutoff then he want to join IT, so the second choice is TC-IT

• If a candidate willing to join a particular course and he not bother about the colleges then this is the way to create choice list
• fill all colleges in the top order for that particular course
• for example a student badly want to join CSC but he is not bothered about the colleges
• fill good colleges by order for the particular course first
