Mission: Impossible 7 Trailer Breakdown - 11 Story & Stunt Reveals

The first trailer for Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, aka Mission: Impossible 7, has been released, showcasing new story details, fresh stunts, familiar characters, and plenty of spy action.

The film again stars Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, and Vanessa Kirby as White Widow.

New cast members include Hayley Atwell as Grace, Shea Whigham as Jasper Briggs, and unnamed characters played by Pom Klementieff, Esai Morales, Rob Delaney, Cary Elwes,

Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, Charles Parnell, Greg Tarzan Davis, and Frederick Schmidt.

Also returning to the franchise is Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge, who was last seen in the first Mission: Impossible, released in 1996.

Written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Mission: Impossible 7 is the first part of a longer story that will continue into Mission: Impossible 8, which is currently filming and set to release in 2024.

Initially slated for release in July 2021 and August 2022, the pandemic forced delays for both parts by two years.

Now, images and footage are finally rolling out for the next entry in the Mission: Impossible franchise,

including the first trailer that has a number of story, stunt, and character reveals teasing the future of the series.

The new Mission: Impossible -Dead Reckoning Part One trailer shows off Cruise's Hunt back in action alongside his IMF team of Ilsa, Benji, and Luther, and facing off against a new threat that will no doubt upend his world.

New faces to the franchise are featured throughout the trailer, including Klementieff and Morales as the new villains, as well as peeks at Elwes, Whigham, Varma, and Czerny as Kittridge.

Once again, Hunt is faced with a difficult choice, which is par for the course in his IMF career, and it appears that the stakes are higher than ever.
