PSNA College of Engineering and Technology Management Notes
Kalvi Thanthai Late Thiru R.S.Kothandaraman, the founder of the College was born in an agricultural family. He hailed from a village in the then Sivagangai District Taluk of Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu. Although he had an immense flair for higher studies, he was unfortunate that his wish remained unfulfilled. This had left an indelible and lasting impression in his mind. In order to quench his thirst, he pledged to educate the poor in a simple and unobtrusive way. With noble thoughts coupled with lofty ideals and great expectations, he decided to start an educational institution with a plethora of innovative concepts to create a host of talented professionals. He also felt that technical education was the need of the hour to meet the growing demands of our steadily progressing economy.
In pursuance of his vision, he established Sri Rangalatchumi Educational Trust in the name of his parents, in the year 1984. Following this he started an Engineering College by the name” Pacheri Sri Nallathangal Amman College of Engineering & Technology” with the permission accorded by the Government of Tamil Nadu on October 1984. He had chosen Dindigul, which is economically and educationally backward district, with an aim to help the rural folk, to uplift their life style and to provide them employment opportunity. The present campus is located in a serene sprawling 150 acres of land on , the Dindigul – Palani National Highway – 209, 10 km from Dindigul town and has an academically ambient environment.
It is to be highly appreciated that a philanthropist, dynamic and devoted person from a remote village has taken painstaking efforts to establish a Technical Institution with a vision that only technical manpower could contribute more for the overall development of the nation. To foster the ever cherished goals of the founder, the members of the trust with utmost sincerity and dedication strive hard to transform the college into an internationally acclaimed one.

Hotel
The institution has 8 hostel blocks which include 5Gents Hostels, 2 Ladies Hostel and 1 PIO-Foreign Students Hostel. All the hostels are offered with Reverse Osmosis drinking water facility and zero-power cut facility. There are stationary marts and coin-phones installed for the benefit of hostel inmates.
Health Care
Health care facilities are provided to men and women students by visiting doctors. Two ambulances with Stretcher and Oxygen cylinder are available in the hostel to take care of the emergency situations of the students and staff of the institution.
Telecom
Students have provision for STD Booth, Photocopying, Stationery, and General store. Both Gents hostels and Ladies hostels facilitated with 50 Nos of Ubiquiti wifi access points for the benefit of the hostel inmates, to do web browsing.
Auditorium
There are Sri Rangalatchumi and Civil-Mechanical air-conditioned auditoriums with the seating capacity of 550 and 350 respectively. These apart, there are two well-equipped air-conditioned seminar halls for conducting International and National academic programmes such as Seminars, Symposia, Workshops and Placement activities.

The transport department of PSNACET has functioning with the following vehicles.

Sports
Sports and games have played an important role in the evolution of PSNA CET and now when PSNA CET have completed thirty-one years of its academic life, sports in PSNA CET can definitely claim a fair share in the progress of the institution. The College has excellent state-of-the-art infrastructure for sports and provides professional coaching in sports to students. Over the years PSNA CET has invested in sports considerably, so that today we can be proud of not only having excellent sports facilities, but also have produced sports men of the highest caliber.
NSS
The college has two units of National Service Scheme sponsored by Anna University with a total sanctioned strength of 200 volunteers. Participation in NSS is mandatory for the first and second year students. The NSS volunteers are required to involve in Social Service activities, camps and special campaign activities. An orientation course is conducted for the volunteers. Students who work as volunteers for two years will be awarded a certificate issued by the University. NSS actitvites aim at instilling discipline, promoting culture, forming character building and developing personality through community services.
Blood Donors Club
- The college has a Blood Donors’ Club with more than 250 volunteers. Blood donation camps are organized regularly and especially on the eve of the Founder’s Birth anniversary. The volunteers of this club are sent to hospitals to donate blood during emergencies.
- Every year, the blood donors club of our college organized a blood donation camp to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of the Founder of the college Kalvi Thanthai Late Thiru. R.S.Kothandaraman in the college premises. On this occasion, a group of more than 250 students and staff donated their blood.
Rotaract Club
The Rotaract Club of PSNACET is a group of globally associated youth who cultivate relationships and leadership skills through community service.
PSNA College of Engineering and Technology Application Process 2020
Candidates can apply for the B.E, B.Tech, M.E, MBA and MCA courses by following the given steps:
- The candidates have to apply for TANCET and TNEA through the official portal only.
- For TANCET applications, the candidates need to register with a valid e-mail ID, phone number and password.
- Fill the mandatory details and upload the scanned copies of passport size photograph and signature.
- Proceed to pay the application fee. The application fee for General category candidates is INR 500 (INR 250 for the reserved categories)
- The application fee can be paid through Debit/ Credit cards or Net Banking.
- For TNEA application forms, the candidates need to click on the “register” tab on the home page of the website.
- After the successful completion of registration process, the applicants must fill the personal details and academic qualification details.
- Attach the self-attested copies of the following documents along with the hard copy of the duly filled in form:
- Class 10th mark sheet
- Class 12th mark sheet
- Transfer certificate issued by school
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Nativity certificate
- Relevant certificates for the children of Ex-servicemen/ freedom fighters.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech
- Candidates must have a BE / B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline from any recognized University are eligible to apply for PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul.
- The selection process in the PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, [PSNACET] Dindigul is constituted by the college committee.
- The process of selection is purely provisional and it depends on confirmation from Anna University, Directorate of Technical Education-Chennai and All India Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
- At PNSA college of Engineering and Technology, Only those candidates who have had the English medium of education or English as one of the subjects in their qualifying degree alone will generally be considered for admission.
- Otherwise, those students who are willing to undergo a crash program in the English Language for at least six months before the commencement of the course will be considered for admission.
